Training Visa (Subclass 407)

This temporary visa allows the holder to stay in Australia for up to 2 years. The visa provides you the opportunity to take part in workplace-based or professional development training to strengthen your skills, current occupation area of higher education or the field of expertise. There are three streams of this visa: structured workplace-based training to enhance skills in an eligible occupation, workplace-based training required for registration and training that promotes capacity building overseas. The sponsor, also the employer of the trainee, must satisfy certain business condition requirements and provide a customised training program.

Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485)

This temporary visa allows international students to live, study and work in Australia after having completed your studies. The subclass is available in two streams: Graduate Work stream and Post-Study Work stream. The Graduate Work stream is for students who have recently graduated with skills and qualifications that Australia needs. It lets you live, study and work in Australia for 18 months. The Post-Study Work stream is for students who have recently graduated with a degree from an Australian institution. It lets you live, study and work in Australia between 2 and 4 years, depending on your qualification.
